Repurposed Marble Countertop into Elegant Coffee Table
This piece was born out of a mistake. I thought I was purchasing a small slab of marble off of LetGo. When the seller showed up, he informed me that it used to be a countertop, so the slab was much larger than anticipated with the sides cut at a bias of a 45 degree angle! I thought it'd look best if we enclosed it with hand-stained wood pieces, So half of the bottom and 3 sides are now wood. I found some iron hairpin legs to support the weight of the marble, and spray painted them in the perfect copper tone-- not too pink, not too orange. My husband and I really took our time with this piece, getting everything as perfect as we could, especially considering this slab had been ripped off a counter! The unique edges and little flaws only add to the beauty of this piece.
